Press Release: Kalimba Book Signs Its First Author


Kalimba Books, an imprint of Kalimba Publishing Ltd, is delighted and excited to announce the signing Anambra-based author, Nonso Uzozie. Nonso has a degree in English and Literary studies and also a certificate in Script-writing. His  short stories have been published in the Nigeria Pilot, author-me.com, Naijastories.com, halftribe.com, Nigerianstalk and so on.
 
His first book with Kalimba Books is a collection of short stories titled: "I Will Give My Son A Name". It is a collection of fifteen short stories which includes: Room 419, Sometimes in December, Love Has Fallen, Things That hurt, Every Woman is Guilty, Transition, Republic of Rising Sun, Gothic Things, On Maka's Blood, I Will Give My Son A Name, Moments of Attraction and so on. These fifteen stories surveys human pain, disappointment, failure, triumph, extravagant love and hope.
On signing his first book deal with Kalimba (which happens to be the first work by Kalimba Books), Nonso said, “It's been my dream that I'd get published one day. I am so happy to have my work among the pioneer works to be published by this new publishing firm; I'm so excited to be among something new, and i see Kalimba Books going far. I really want to thank the Chief Operating Officer, 19-year old Chimmie Ijezie for starting something great; he didnt't let his age be a limit. I want to also thank the managing editor, Chimee Adioha, who reviewed my work. Thank you all!!! Ilove the Kalimba family and have no doubt that they would go far. I am glad that I get to tell my stories on their platform.”
